Story/comic Activity
________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Roman mythology tells the tales of two twin brothers, Romulus and Remus. The two boys were abandoned in woven straw baskets on the Tiber River where they washed up on a shore upon the Palatine hill. A she-wolf named Lupa discovered them and took them in as her own, raising the babies and keeping them warm.
One day, the twins decided to build a city of their own and harness their greatness. They both decided to build amongst one of the seven hills. However, they had a disagreement on which hill to build Rome. To settle this disagreement the two brothers battled. The both of them fought hard, but in the end, Romulus murdered his twin brother Remus to settle the disagreement.
Romulus began the building of Rome, forming a small settlement that soon became the Great Roman Empire.
